Steve Kean- A New Contract? Ridiculous!

With all that has been going on at the Blackburn Rovers, I am sure, this rumours, if it holds any truth might back fire for the Venky's. This deal might only add to the frustrations growing amongst the Rovers faithful. Its only infuriating the already upset fans.Though its an incredible vote of confidence in their current manager.

I personally have an opinion of liking Steve Kean's style of play although until now it hasn't come off exactly the way we would have liked. His current contract expires in 2013, there is absolute no need for a new contract at a time when the fans are disgusted with the manager. He is trying to prove himself. Let him! He hasn't proved himself as yet.
A new contract is doing no good to Steve Kean's cause and neither the Venky's.Until now, the fans chanted 'Steve Kean Out', it soon might as well be 'Venky's Out'. NOT GOOD.

Currently, the team is showing signs of improvement, all players have a good relation with Steve Kean. Sacking him might just do bad to Rovers instead of good. It will affect the working, playing style, and so much more and its definitely tough to keep adjusting time and again for the players. But, an improved contract to Steve Kean is not the right way to go about this issue.
Though until now, I have been in support of Steve Kean, this move by the Venky's have saddened me too. Its a ridiculous decision.
HOPE THIS DOESNT BACK FIRE!

Still Optimistic? HELL YES...

Some people have come to me and asked me,' Still optimistic of a turnaround at the Ewood park?', the answer is a very direct and a firm YES!!!
Blackburn Rovers, with the way they have played, definitely deserve to get some points on the board. A narrow 0-1 defeat, I must say, against a very strong Chelsea side where Rovers could have also won the game doesnt really show for their consistent performances in the last four matches.Well, there is every reason to be hoping of a unbeaten run very soon.
Blackburn Rovers almost went ahead through Yakubu in the ninth minute but a poor touch by The Yak didnt really change the score. The link-up play was excllent between Mauro Formica and Junior Hoilett and it was a sign of many better things to come, in the remaining time of the match. It was a glorious chance gone begging.
To Rovers credit, they kept on pressing the Chelsea defence, when on the ball. At half time Rovers fans had mixed feelings, though the Rovers didnt score, the did not concede as well. But there was some bad news, Chris Samba limped off only to be substituted by the young, Grant Hanley.
Chelsea substitued Malouda for Torres soon after half time. They knew they had to win this one, but it was not going to be easy, NEVER! 6 minutes after play had resumed, Chelsea scored the first goal of the game, with Lampard stooping to head it past Paul Robinson into the net.
Rovers looked to hit back immediately, Ruben Rochina failing to test the goalkeeper with a snapshot that was easy for Cech. Then the Chelsea keeper made a double save, first to stop Pedersen's free-kick and then to deny Grant Hanley on the follow-up. Like Yakubu's chance in the first half, it was a chance that had to be taken. Another chance gone begging.
Minutes after that, Yakubu had another chance to put Rovers on level, thanks to Robinson's goal kick, but his curling shot was put out by Petr Cech.
Three minutes later and Mauro Formica beat Cech with a shot from the right of the area, but Ramires was there to clear from inside his own six-yard box. Rovers were edging closer and closer for a leveller. The closest Blackburn Rovers came was when Ivanovic headed a corner against his own bar.
With Rovers piling bodies forward in search of a deservedgoal, they were hit on the break, but luckily for Rovers, Fernando Torres remained himself and missed a very easy goal.
It was a gallant display from Rovers, but not for the first time this season, they didn't earn the rewards their play deserved. And yes, I am still very sure, Rovers are going to get it going VERY SOON.

KEEP THE FAITH!!!
