A New Era!!!

Yes, definitely, we have seen the back of the bald one, Steve Kean is pretty much gone. With his resignation, was the end of a lot of turmoil at Rovers, and now, its a start of a new era at Blackburn Rovers Football Club.
Henning Berg, a former Rover, winner of 1995 Premier League Trophy, and winner of a treble at Manchester United, has been handed a three year contract for managing the team to an instant comeback to the top flight.

Berg is taking on the job, which, a while back, called 'Impossible' to be taken by a manager with good credibility. He also once blamed Venkys for being out of order, and for Blackburn Rovers relegation. So why did he take on this job!?, is a question many will have in their minds, just like me.
But even then, all that matters is Berg has accepted the role of managing Rovers. Finally, putting the managerial saga at Rovers to bed.

I call it new era, because, from here, everybody- The players, coaches, the fans, and of course, himself, start of in the same direction. Everybody starts with a new chance of proving oneself from here on, and players neglected under Kean's regime, can push the pedal and try impressing the new boss.
Yes, Berg has not had the best managerial record, but he dealt with teams in really difficult circumstances financially. So, considering that, he's done a decent job thus far. At Rovers, he has the cash(atleast more than what he had) and surely is under no pressure to sell the best players. Let us all hope he excels under these conditions, only for our own good.
I urge all, Lets now pull in the same direction, stop all the booing, they all play for Rovers, and Rovers means us, so, they play for us. Start filling the empty stands at the Ewood Park, lets now become a happy club once again. Average attendances of 13,000 with a stadium capacity of over 30,000 is sad to see for the players, they want and need your support in this fight to achieve promotion right away. If anybodys' got problems with the working, deal with it differently, but not by boycotting home games.
Lets now hear cheers for the Blackburn Rovers' Manager- HENNING BERG.!!
HIP HIP, HURRAY!
HIP HIP, HURRAY!
HIP HIP, HURRAY!

An Urge- Get Together!!!

My previous blog got me comments saying I have lost my mind and so on, I ask, WHY?
Solely because I like the manner in which Venkys are conducting operations at Rovers currently? Its not just me. Many like it!

For me, its all about Blackburn Rovers as a club, neither solely Venkys, nor the fans constitute the entire clubs' running. Its about togetherness that we can help in our own little ways for the club to rise from its recent failures. Its all about how owners compliment the fans and vice-versa. At first, the fans, tried to get together to solve it all, but they never accepted it, but now, they are trying to, so what are people out there doing? Disposing their offer of peace and togetherness at this club? REALLY?

Venkys, this summer, have looked very intent to make the right signings and help the club manke an instant return to where it has always belonged, Premier League. With the squad we have, in addition to the few more interesting signings yet to be made, we really seem a force to be feared in the Championship. We certainly have one of the best squads in the Championship. Yes, the manager looks incompetent, but if we dont find ourselves top after a quarter of the season, under the current Venkys regime, Kean might just get the boot.!

One question, I would really like to put forward-
You really wont watch YOUR club play home and away, ONLY, because Steve Kean is at the helm and Venkys run the club? Get real dude! Its YOUR club! And the team desperately needs each one of you out there...
Do you really think Venkys and Kean are worthy enough to let you ruin your emotional attachment with Rovers? Well, if you do, reconsider it! Because I don't see much sense there!

Learning? Are they? Yes, they are!!

Venkys have been a very popular name in English football... But yes, for the wrong reasons surely!!

The last 1 year and a half has been nothing short of chaos at the Ewood Park.
Starting from their early days at the club, right until now, they have been absolute shambles...
"CONFUSED", such was the state of everybody linked with Blackburn Rovers just a while back. Astonishingly even the owners were, ridiculous.. Aint it?

Whats done, is done! Rovers have been relegated to the Championship, needing to climb out of this self-inflicted hole. But how?
The previous month has been vital regarding Rovers and Venkys both. I am sure, there would have been tough decisions to be made. The restoration process has started, maybe a little too late, but it has.
The management is being set up, with many new faces coming in, or old faces with different job titles.
Paul Agnew as Operations Director, Shebby Singh as Global Advisor, Derek Shaw as a Managing Director and Ian Silvester as Football Secretary. If reports are to be believed, Vineeth Rao and Simon Hunt are being getting rid of very soon.
Just over a week into the transfer window, Rovers have signed 3 DECENT Championship signings in Danny Murphy, Leon Best, Nuno Gomes and one more signing, Fabio Nunes labelled as one for the future by Rovers. Lets give Venkys a little bit of credit for these quick signings. This definitely shows they are in it for the long term, they want the club back in the Premier League right away, just like us!!
Is the whole scenario changing? Are Venkys wide awake to the demands of English Football? Maybe, at last! All we can do is sit back and hope!!

Over And Out???

How much ever I try to be optimistic, I hate to say this, but Rovers are almost certain to be relegated now.
Last Night's Results almost gave Rovers a slim hope until Djibril Cisse netted a 89th minute winner at Loftus Road against Stoke City.
What a disgraceful season this has been for everyone involved with Blackburn Rovers. Not only the fans, but also the manager, backroom staff, owners, sponsors, EVERYBODY.
Some People blame it on the lack of appetite shown by the players at certain times, some on the owners, and some on the manager, all in all, the bottom line is- Rovers Relegated.
I'm just lost for words about what to say about Blackburn Rovers current plight.
Let Us All, get behind our team in what looks likely to be- our last two Premier League games for ATLEAST one year, and see the outcome.
If At All, We are relegated, which is the most likely, we as fans need to take responsibility along with the club to help claw back into the Premier League immidiately.
Venkys need to be awfully sorry for this season, try to connect with the fans over the pre-season, set-up more realistic plans, fund the team and visit the team more often. They've got to try to win fans back by having an excellent pre-season and transfer season and securing Premier League status immidiately.
As for Steve Kean, I suggest he should resign only to manage Burnley. I dont want to get involved in Steve Kean abuse.
Go Rovers, Go! Rovers Till I Die!!!

A Look At Next 3 Fixtures!!!

Blackburn Rovers clearly missed an opportunity to go above all their relegation rivals after slumping to 3-0 defeat at the Hawthorns. A loss against Liverpool on tuesday could just almost confirm relegation. Lets just have a look at the 6 cup final like league matches remaining for Rovers to maintain their Premier league Status.

Tuesday, 10 April. Liverpool at Ewood park.
Everyone might be writing off Rovers' chances against the Reds, but dont forget what Rovers did at Anfield. It might just be tougher with all the pressure surrounding the Rovers team but not to forget in the reverse fixture we played with 5 players coming from the Reserve team, this time around we have a fully fit side with the exception of long term absentee, Vince Grella.
RECENT FORM- 4 points from 6 games.
Last Fixture: Liverpool 1-1 Blackburn Rovers

Saturday, 14 April. Swansea at Liberty Stadium.
Another tough fixture given that we play the Swans at their home. They've beaten the likes of Manchester City recently at home. Rovers have the determination to pull off this one though. If they do, it'll be an excellent result. Nothing less than a win in this fixture will be acceptable given our position in the league table.
RECENT FORM- 9 points from 6 games.( 0 from last 3)
Last Fixture: Blackburn Rovers 4-2 Swansea

Saturday, 21 April. Norwich at Ewood Park.
A welcome fixture, this! Norwich at home would just be a perfect fixture at this point of time. To add to that, Norwich's recent form is really bad. They've picked up only 5 points from their previous 6 fixtures. Rovers' Boss, Steve Kean would be targeting this one as a must win fixture.
RECENT FORM- 5 points from 6 games.
Last Fixture: Norwich 3-3 Blackburn Rovers

MY PREDICTIONS FOR THE ABOVE FIXTURES:
Blackburn Rovers 2-1 Liverpool
Swansea City 1-1 Blackburn Rovers
Blackburn Rovers 2-0 Norwich

Very Important 3 fixtures for Blackburn Rovers now!! ITS NOW OR NEVER!

Now Is The Time, Stand Up TOGETHER!!!

Fans, the most vital part of a football club. The people who are always up there to cheer their team through every inch of pain. Through the thick and the thin, they'll always remain.
Blackburn Rovers, termed as one of the most mismanaged club in Footballing History by many people, needs its FANS! Every fan, whether it's a happy one or a disgruntled one, at the end of the day loves the club and they always will, whatever they claim to do. Its just Venky's, that they are not interested in, not Blackburn Rovers Football Club.

Blackburn Rovers needs YOU! So get up, block all the agony and pain you've been through on matchdays, get behind the team, and NOW accept that Steve Kean, unfortunately is still the manager at Rovers. Steve Kean is a  part of the club, whether you like it or not, get over with it, cheer them all. STOP the protesting, for the time being, bringing in a new owner very much tops the priority list for most of the fans out there, but its not gonna help you now. To attract buyers, the club firstly needs to maintain its Premier League Status. FILL the stands and cheer this team, boost their confidences, cheering helps one, everyone needs someone to back their efforts on the field and all Rovers' players need US.

Lets do it for BLACKBURN ROVERS! And OURSELVES! BE THE 12TH MAN!

A United Statement By Blackburn Rovers Fans

Recently, Blackburn Rovers fans have been the subject of attention in the national media and we as a body feel that our situation has been misrepresented and that our stance has been grossly misunderstood. The major representative websites of Blackburn Rovers fans have combined to clarify our stance with regard to our current plight in the statement below.

Blackburn Rovers fans are not an unrealistically ambitious, over-expecting group of supporters and are not noted by any means for their militance. The large majority would generally be content with a mid-table finish and a good cup run and would be delighted with European qualification, as we have been fortunate enough to experience on a number of occasions in our recent history. We understand that the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea, and more recently Manchester City, have budgets that are quite beyond us, and we do not expect to be able to compete with them financially. What we do expect, however, is for our club to live up to its motto, 'Arte et Labore', and by skill and labour do justice to its 136 years of history while respecting its fan base, which has always been the heartbeat of the club.

The vast majority of fans are desperately disappointed by the direction that has been shown by the club since the change in ownership a little over twelve months ago when Venky's bought the club from the Walker Trust, who provided stability and modest success for a club of our stature. On the field, we believe Steve Kean has had sufficient time to prove himself capable of managing a Premier League club. During his tenure as manager of Blackburn Rovers, Kean has been in charge of 42 Premier League fixtures and has presided over a record of 8 wins, 13 draws and 21 losses. Over the course of a season, this equates to a dismal 33.5 points. Having taken the club to the brink of relegation last season, a continuation of his record thus far this season will guarantee relegation in May. His predecessor Sam Allardyce, an experienced and highly competent Premier League manager, was dismissed with a far superior points per game ratio, which makes it difficult to understand why the former team coach Steve Kean is still in his position as manager and continues to enjoy the backing of the owners, no matter how ignorant they are of footballing matters. Only one team in Premier League history has survived relegation having been bottom at Christmas and there is no sign that we look like becoming the second to do so.

Off the field, Blackburn Rovers supporters are also frustrated by the pitiful lack of communication between club and fans. We feel that it is essential for owners Venky's to build a stronger relationship with the stakeholders, the fans. The club's public relations are sadly lacking. Steve Kean regularly appears in the media, representing the owners' plans, detailing how much funding Rovers have and expounding the current goals of the club. Many fans feel this is beyond the remit of a team manager and believe that a chief executive or chairman should be charged with such a brief and that such information should be conveyed with a degree of discretion that is absent under the current ownership. Regrettably the owners see fit not to employ people capable of discharging such duties quintessential to the running of a modern football club, having dispensed with the services of John Williams and Tom Finn, who were widely regarded as most able administrators among the Premier League fraternity. The fact that they have not been replaced is of considerable concern to Blackburn Rovers fans and should be of concern, we believe, to all football fans who have the welfare of the game at the heart of their thinking. We believe that the owners' apparent attempt to run the club from India while using Steve Kean as their mouthpiece is unacceptable.

Bigger clubs than ours have been relegated from the Premier League before and indeed we have suffered that particular fate before, but that is not our issue here. Our club is not only in jeopardy of losing its Premier League status, it is in danger of disappearing into oblivion under the stewardship of an absent and reckless owner whose public front is a manager who shows little sign of possessing the acumen to manage a team at the highest level and who has singlehandedly managed to drive a wedge between club and fans that has never before been witnessed at our football club, where a perfectly well-functioning community is being systematically dismantled before our very eyes.

As the first steps in the restitution of our football club, we, as concerned fans of Blackburn Rovers, seek the appointment of a respected manager who has the requisite experience to preside over our proud club and who can rebuild the bonds between club and fans and we further seek the establishment of an administrative structure that is becoming of a modern institution such as a Premier League football club.
